Hartebeest is the name of our collaboration. We, Mirjam Smit and Kristel Beltman, have been friends for 20 years and colleagues since 2020.

Kristel started her professional career as an account manager at international companies. After participating in a training & development program, she decided to become a trainer/facilitator herself. And this is what she’s been doing happily for almost 20 years. (www.quotendis.nl)

After having worked as a lawyer for several years, Mirjam and her partner started Voordeeluitjes.nl, a booking platform. Since then they have built and acquired several companies. Mirjam nowadays combines her business experience and coaching skills to help professionals grow. (www.jordaancoaching.nl)

In 2020 we joined forces and have delivered several leadership development programs in which nature always plays a significant role. Beside these programs we love being a facilitator on trails that have taken us to nature in the Netherlands, Jordan and South-Africa. It was during our visit to nature reserve Bergplaas where we kept encountering the impressive animal hartebeest. First one, then two and so on… After a couple of days, we picked up the sign of this seemingly coincidence and decided to name our collaboration Hartebeest. The combination of the words ‘hart’ (heart) and ‘beest’ (beast), represents an energy that feels exactly right!
